MapleFind policy

Accessibility statement

How MapleFind supports keyboard, screen-reader, low-vision, mobile, and reading-comfort needs.

Implementation review: July 26, 2026

Launch note

This policy reflects the controls implemented in the current platform and must be reviewed against the final legal entity, vendors, data flows, and province-specific obligations before production publication.

Commitment

MapleFind aims for WCAG 2.2 AA and treats accessibility as an ongoing product requirement. The site uses semantic landmarks, visible focus, skip links, labelled controls, adequate targets, responsive layouts, and reduced-motion support.

Easy Read mode

The Easy Read control switches body and long-form copy from Figtree sans serif to the locally hosted Newsreader serif, increases reading rhythm, and preserves the display hierarchy. The preference is stored only in your browser.

Known limitations

Third-party business destinations are outside MapleFind’s control. User-submitted media and complex imported content require ongoing alternative-text and structure review.

Accessibility feedback

Email accessibility@maplefind.ca with the page, barrier, browser or assistive technology, and preferred response method. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

You can change these choices at any time. MapleFind currently ships without third-party analytics or behavioural advertising scripts; these controls gate any future integrations.
